Founded in 2005 by band director Chris Reeves, the Robertson County Community Band (RCCB) consists of approximately 25 dedicated and talented musicians. The RCCB gives adults an opportunity to play music and entertains the community with regular (and free) concerts. The RCCB also has young musicians that are currently enrolled in a high school or college music program.
We are a non-profit organization. The only membership cost is a twenty dollar yearly membership fee and twenty dollar expense for our band shirt.
Practices are held twice a month, on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month, at the Springfield High School band room. The band is “off” in July and December, with no practices held. New members are always welcome. We are looking for all woodwind, brass, and percussion musicians. Feel free to join us at our next practice!
The band performs several concerts each year. These concerts feature a broad range of tunes that will keep your toes tapping – from Duke Ellington to John Phillips Sousa to Tchaikovsky, as well as new composers from around the world. We hope to see you at our next concert!
